My passion for interiors has been there from a young age and while I pursued other career options to begin with – I always found myself looking for a creative angle in all my work. The combination of the creative and having an extensive background in business and project management has been the perfect combination for me to develop logical strategies for problem solving and navigating the design and build process.
When people ask about my preferred design style, I often find it challenging to pinpoint one. My design approach evolves as I delve deeper into understanding our clients’ needs and preferences. I firmly believe that our homes ought to reflect our identities, enriching and enhancing our daily lives – to not only look beautiful but to inspire all our senses and support us in what we need most. Be it calm and clarity, motivation, or mood elevation. That life is to be lived and lived well. Each client has their own unique needs and aspirations – this is where my work begins.
What I love most about doing what we do is seeing clients enjoying their home at the end and knowing we played a big part in creating these spaces for them.
Martine’s warmth, authenticity, and intuitive response to design, allows her to make purposeful suggestions and site-specific solutions – with a deep respect for the impact design has to enhance people’s lives in the now, and well into the future.
It is considered a great privilege for MCID to create an honest and personal imprint – true to each client and how they aspire to feel and live within their home.

Established in 2014, we have been transforming homes for our busy clients for a decade.
Communication, connection, and cohesion is at the heart of our approach, and this translates into MCID delivering beautiful liveable homes for our clients each time.
The types of clients we work with often have a goal of often updating an older home or customising a new home to suit their stage of life. Many are busy professionals who are time poor so running a large renovation or build can seem daunting and It’s no wonder. With over 200+ significant decisions to make in a full home project, you can become easily overwhelmed. MCID work with you to ensure you feel in control the whole way through.
We have an extensive network of suppliers, library of materials and knowledge to assist with the multitude of decisions that need to be made during a large project. We can really simplify the process for our clients and keep them informed along the way. At the start of a project, we evaluate the best team for the job and collaborate with design professionals, suppliers, and trades to ensure the right outcomes are achieved.
Our studio is based in Melbourne however MCID takes on design projects across VIC and NSW.
What We Do
MCID works with you to create a clear and cohesive vision for your home. We remove the overwhelm and break things down into manageable steps. We bring your spaces to life with real samples, plans and 3d visualisations and we create a supportive and enjoyable environment for you along the way.
